Lucienne du Maire

Lucienne du Maire graduated from Utrecht University in 2025 with a Master’s degree in Energy Science, where she focused on the techno-economic feasibility and environmental impact of bio-based aromatics and biofuel production. Through her research and internship projects, she developed strong expertise in techno-economic and environmental assessment methodologies.
In the same year, she began her Ph.D. at the Aéro-Thermo-Mécanique Department of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) under the supervision of Prof. Axel Coussement. As part of the DESIRE project, her research focuses on the techno-economic and global life cycle assessment of selected e-fuels for energy-intensive industrial applications.
